India is one of the cradles of human civilizations. It is a country, where the divine splendor, palaces, rich fabrics and jewels come along with abject poverty. It is the country where the development of high technology and scientific discovery does not eliminate manual labor and artisanal crafts. Almost all the people in India are deeply religious. Eighty percent of the population are Hindus. They believe in the myths and legends, and they worship several thousand of their gods. This is their way of life, where there is a special place for sacred animals.
