On January 28, 1820 Russian round-the-world expedition commanded by Fadey Bellingshausen and Mikhail Lazarev discovered the sixth continent. Almost a century later mankind conquered the South Pole. Norwegian explorer Roald Amundsen became the first man who visited both poles. However, even today there are people for whom the adrenalin form the polar adventures is the most important thing in their lives. They throw themselves into critical life-conditions of the polar ice caps, showing a perfect example of extending the boundaries of human capabilities.
