The infinite track curls between garnet trees, winds at boulders. Getting higher and higher it withdraws in mountains, being lost among juniper and barberry thickets. Here it is – the stony plateau and the caustic smell of sulfur proceeding directly from under the earth. It was here many thousands years ago. At that time when people lived on the slopes of this mountain they formed a basis of a legend about the Chimera. Being at the crossroads of East and West, this land keeps memories of great commanders and glorious times. Having accepted modern way of life Turks nevertheless retained their historical traditions and today their originality continues to attract visitors to this ancient country.
